<x-charset ISO-8859-1>It could be the plug wires. Remove the Distributor cap, look for the mark for the #1 wire. The firing order is 1432. The cylinders are in this order... 3[ ]1 4[ ]2 I think this is the order for the wires on the distributor, but I don't have my manual with me, so double check yours. 2o o1(has mark on distributor body) 3o o4 Also, did you use Bosch tune up parts? I used some ngk stuff years ago on a bug and it turns out the condensor was bad. It could also be a timing problem...Line up your timing mark on the pully and make sure the rotor lines up with the #1 mark on the distributor body. While your there push the rotor and make sure it is all the way down on the shaft. Let us know what you find. ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org </x-charset>
