Yeah bearings are very difficult to get but are available from 
ISP West and they may even have good arms with good race surfaces,
cost a bunch though. You must physically check and verify the condition 
of the bearings and race surface of the arms. Lack of grease is not 
uncommon, my bearings were so shot that they dug into the arm 
quite a bit and when I was able to yank them out with a homemade
puller, all the needles fell out, they looked as brown as wood since
they were lubricated with water and corrosion. Check the bearing without 
removing it, removing may damage it, check the arm bearing surface for
pits. If you have the bucks get them at ISP WEST. If the bearings 
and/or arms ar not available then you can have a bushing made that
replaces the bearing and trust bushing. I was going to have them 
made out of industrial bushing material that would last virtually
forever with little or no lubrication but I was able to find good 
original parts in a San Diego junkyard. The cost of the bushing was 
going to be 220 dollars for 50 of them but the order fell through 
for them. This happened mid this year.

If it is only the bearing that is going out, you can replace it 
with a bearing that has 2mm outer diameter smaller than an
original and use a 1mm shim for this. That bearing is available.

Yeah as someone told you , you may just have
a loose torsion bar. I had this messed up too and it 
required enhancing the dimple.

however that the bearings are unavailable?
