I have to disagree with you Don. I shipped my type3 from Alabama to Pennsylvania for $550. Even spending this money it was totally worth getting a car that was rust free because in the long run i would have spent way more than that on fixing rust on a local car and probably not ended up with as good of a car. I used a company called southerland Auto Transport shipping. There web address is http://www.southerlandtranscar.com/ They were slow but way cheaper than all of the other places i found. If you live in the new england states it will be very expensive for the laws that truckers trucks have to go through for truck inspection are extremely strict and they are more prone to getting fines. Just my two cents on the matter, jesse 71 fi squareback Don Garies wrote: It doesn't pay to ship cars. It is more expensive from north to south than from west to east. The transporters have a reason for it, but I think it's really because it's all that the market will bear. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
