<x-charset iso-8859-1>Id certainly ask... you have nothing to lose and use that L word.. (Lawyer) if the response is less that your happy with. engine rebuilds last as long as the quality of the parts and the care and knowlege of the rebuilder warrrant. If its been converted to aftermarket carbs or your thermostat is missing the life of the engine is about halved, unless the carbs were properly set up, they usually arent. Rebuilt transmissions never last as long as the originals, it requires alot of special tools, knowlege and care. Very odd that it would need rebuilding with only 141K on it... as a point of reference, mine has 275K on it and its just nearing end of life now. A needs nothing Solid original Square for $2400 isnt bad.. for $3400 isnt too bad so long as the expensive rubber and sheetmetal are in good shape.
