<x-charset iso-8859-1>Hi, I solved my wiper motor problems, and I thought I shuold let you know what I had done wrong, so that someone else may avoid making the same mistake I did. When I reassembled the assembly I joined the L part of the shaft upside down. In other words, the actuator arms were above the motor when in parked position. The L part was pointing upwards. Unfortunately, i only realised my mistake after it became so jammed above the glove box that I had to disassemble the whole thing to get it out of the car. Anyway, I turned the 'L's over, and now it works. It makes a nice whirring sound unlike the modern cars I have driven. Both speeds work, and it parks itself quite nicely. It doesn't squeak at all, so whatever that squeak was from yesterday must have succumbed to the lubrication in the end. I was missing one of the tiny circlips that holds the shafts in the sleeve. I improvised this by twisting a piece of wire in the groove. It isn't 100% perfect, but it's better than nothing. All I need now are some actual wipers to mount on it. The shafts are not in good condition, they are badly worn, so I hope the wipers can still grip them OK.
