Thanks It's common to find water on that threshold, but it has to climb up and over a 1/2" hump in order to get inside the car. Water draining from the insides of the doors will also drain to the outside of that hump, so there really has to be another answer. I have also had cars where I cleaned the intake air drain hoses, but water still came in that way. I finally found that there were leaves covering the hole that lead to the hoses, so that cleaning the hoses was not enough. This is especially true on the early models, where you cannot see that hole from any perspective. Water in the back can certainly be from a bad rear door/trunk seal, but the more common fault is for the FI brain panel to be misinstalled. Make sure that the 2 spring clips on the bottom of that panel fit on the OUTSIDE of the inner wall when this is installed. This is also almost universal, so you should check it, too. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
