First things first, if you're gonna get a T3 you'll need a Bentley shop manual and if you're going for a pre-68 dub you'll want the Haynes shop manual, too. Remember, a shop manual is an ESSENTIAL shop tool. Having the Idiot's Guide will definitely help and since you've owned a T1 you are into the game a bit faster than most newbies :) Welcome!
