Which apart from being silly to do anyway (because you would put them back on the right side) will lead to uneven wear on the pads, which are designed to work with a certain direction of rotor rotation. The piston retaining plates (thin metal triangles) should be 'leading', ie on the bottom of the calipers as fitted to a Type 3 (or the top on a Type 4, where the calipers are in front of the hub).
