The hammerite does not give the solid black finish, as it is either metallic or
hammered finish. But it is good paint, I painted the steereing lnuckles for my
Bug with this and it turned out good. The important thing for the finish to
last is to heat the metal with an electric heater gun, to about 100-120¼F. The
paint will cure much better and get rock solid.
