ok heres some other bits i noticed.
no external fuel filler it was open the bonnet to fill up type.
spare tyre in the normal position.
the front wings are one offs as they are approx 10 inches longer than
normal she has had wings made out of several has also inquired at wolfsburg
about new wings with no joy.
there was a huge subframe affair underneath the front end this meant
that the fuel tank sat higher up in the front compartment.
there was a big cross brace from one suspesion tower to the other if
this has been added later i do not know.
date of car well im guessing at 67? or 68 dave thinks earlier and will
have input on his return to blighty.
it is here only method of transport even though it should be in a
museam and she was sad that it is getting harder for her to get it thru its
tuv test each time and very much fears the next tuv!
a suggested method of further investigation is to go to typ3.de and
email dirk fisher i beleive he speaks english as well perhaps you know him
allready he has a lot to do with the german t3 club.
photos well id got 250 miles down the autobahn on saturday when i
remembered id forgot my camera good eh.
im sure dave has taken quiet a few he was wandering around with yourt
list of things to look for simon but ill let him give you his findings .
ssorry its a strange thing i had my eyes open and was looking quite
hard but to be honest due to being gobsmacked by it i didnt seem to have
come away with all that much info.
cant say i noticed a steering box underneath but that does not mean
it wasnt there tucked up out of the way.
