I've been meaning to post a bunch of things, so here's another one: While attending the annual Bugout in Milan, MI a few weekends back (I didn't see Dan Z. or John J., Bob H. I didn't get to talk to you @ Auburn Hills, but I would recognize your cars...any other Mich. listees?) where sadly, there were only three, yes three (you guys I just mentioned aren't suprised, are you?) Type III's in the whole place, a BRM equipped '65 Notch, a late Fasty drag car (reads "say no to Bugs" on the rear apron) & a '73 Square which was for sale. It appears rust free, though the front has been crunched & filled, turn signals & all (!) & the whole thing given an Earl Sheib-esque red paint job. The FI is intact & the engine very clean. Asking price is $2400. The seller also has a '66 Sqaure ( not with him, but I have a buisness card sized pic of it- it's electric blue w/Empi 8 spokes (or something like them) Apparently it's pretty clean with some bubbling starting in the rockers & usual fender spots-$1,800. If the '66 doesn't sell soon, the seller tells me, he's! got plans for it. BIG plans. BI G DARK plans, which I'll get to in my next post... Oh yeah, the seller is somewhere in Western Michigan, his ph# is 616-651-9259 & I have no connection with him.
