hmmmm, i guess i need to clarify a touch. although my motor is in a type 3, it isn't
a type 3...midengine, type 1 with all of the type 1 cooling tin in place and a mesa
cooler. as to 94mm piston heat. the old 94s (like in the mid 80s) are not the same
bird as they are now. also, with the longer rods, side load is not a problem on the
pistons that it once was.
