You can still use it, but you will have to repair it first. The dimple should be a simple round dimple. The taper on the end of a large (~10mm) drill bit is a good match; compare it with the end of the grub screw that is supposed to fit in there. You can either deepen the dimple on the original side or flip the bar over and start a new one on the other side. You must drill the new dimple in the right position, which is probably marked by the INBOARD end of the grove. If the double flatted hole in the upper trailing arm has been worn out from this bar being driven too long while loose you may find that your repair will not last. In that case you will have to look for a replacement trailing arm. If you get the new dimple in the wrong place you will find that you can't adjust the other side or that you have other problems. It's good that you discovered this. Unfortunately, it's a common problem. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
