Hi Steve, You have a few options in my opinion.............. ð You can either strip the offending area back to metal, apply rust treatment, then undercoat and repaint, ð If you want real peace of mind, then chop that section out and weld in a better piece from a donor car (i'd only do it if it's really rotten though, or if the rest of the car is in concours condition - things like that bug me) ð or lastly (usually my favourite option on a non-restored daily driver) cake it in Hammerite paint and it'll go away for a while until it really needs attention (Hammerite loves rusty surfaces to cling to, more so than clean flat surfaces).
