Well, i just got back from the pamona swap meet. The army of beetles vastly outnumbered the small batallion of type 3s (as always) and there was also a good number of type 2 around. In total, i think there were about 3 good looking notches, 2 squares and then some beat up fastys and squares for sale. There was an 1963 "european" squareback for sale, and the guy kept saying how it was very rare and valuable because they didnt import any 63s into the US. It was primer gray with shaved side trim. It had the "rare push button dash" ive never seen this before, There was a small cluster of buttons and knobs to the left of the steering wheel, on the dash (LHD) That was interesting. Too bad the car was well on its way to being a flintstone mobile. Pinholes everywhere. its a shame. I was able to score a couple of good deals though. I got a set of taillights, complete assemblys (bulbholder, bulbs, lenses, all hardward). The chrome looked good and the lenses were all red. some people were selling just the lenses for $30(US) each! and the bulbholders for more. I also got a set of complete bullet turn signals (complete assembly, like the taillights) all in great condition, i got the set of taillights and the set of turn signals all for $15!!! I also got a set of refinished heaterboxes, $8 for both! they have a couple holse and are kinda beat up.. i didnt really look at them before i bought them, but hey, they were 8 bucks... it costs more than that just to feed myself. Ill have pictures of all this stuff up on my site in a day or two. sorry, but there arent any pictures from the show... i didnt have a camera to bring, and nobody else brought a camers... :( next time. the next one is june 8th... hopefully, my car will be there with me. :) Jerrod 67 Fastback ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
