Hello everyone!! I just wanted to introduce myself to the group as I have been away for about 2 years. I have a 1973 Orange Squareback and its my baby! Its been my daily driver for 9 years now and I love my car. So far, we put a new engine in her, new transmission, clutch, many many different wires, coil, distributor, gosh, much more. I want to get her painted soon, of course orange still, who would know who I was?, ha ha. She was stolen about 10 year ago and they took a hammer and smashed nearly all of the fenders with a hammer. My folks found an identical Squareback in a pick a part in CA and pulled all of the fenders and rear quarter panels off it and now my car looks new again, except for the fading paint and some bondo on the "new" door. We've been battling a problem that the car will surge and die on me. We've cleaned all the points everywhere, done all the things that I've read on the archives that you are supposed to do... its a mystery problem. I have an awesome mechanic and he's a had a hard time figuring it out as well. If you would like to look at my web site, I have a couple of photos of my car posted there.
