My exhaust system , i feel is very good performancewise but the metal it is made from is paper thin. A muffler shop looked at the cracks that the muffler had and said all of this was way too thin too last a long time, and this was when it was only a month old after install. If you want a premium system, have a muffler shop with variety of mandrels bend you one up with quality stainless steel. I have seen only one done a couple years ago before I was interested in any VW's. This cost too much for me but if you want a merged header and muffler setup that lasts long time, this is the way to do it. Maybe there is a muffler shop someone can convince to build and market quality and not inferior junk. You can also install the quality stock German system with all the parts if you have luck finding threm . My car had a merged header and a stinger on it... it was nicely rusted and missing bolts and clamps... quality work (NOT!) But the engines going to be rebuilt soon and i have to figure out what kind of exhause to put on the engine... ***************** Jerrod 67 Fastback paperweight ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
