I removed mine with a nifty tool that is a U shaped screw driver with a bent shaft. Applying slight pressure from between the body and the clip, I worked the clip up the shaft slowly. Getting it started when the clip was against the body was challenging. I used an old steak knife that allowed some flexibility yet able to get between the clip and body, then slightly twisting the knife, the clip slid up the shaft until I could get the U tool underneath. Taking your time is the most important factor. Jeff '67 Sqbk -----Original Message----- To remove them with out damage requires patience and dexterity. The "Type 3" script has two prongs which go into two holes in the front of the front fender. These prongs are fixed with rubber coated one-way clips - the kind of clip that has to be coaxed off by gripping them with a pair of pliers or a set of vise-grips and turning them backwards and forwards, pulling them off very gradually at the same time. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
