I believe you're correct Eric. Any Type III fender through model year
'69 should bolt up, however anything later than '67 will have a useless gas
flap. The other thing to look out for are the style of turnsignals. Those
were the norm for for the longest... so early fenders w/o gas fillers are
most often cut to accept wraparound type signals. I thought he said he had
bullet turn signals, though... I thought that a fender w/o gas filler and
bullets would have to be very early. Of course, there's always exceptions
and weirdos out there...
