I hope that someone can help me. I have a '73 fastback with the original FI and bone stock motor (auto trans). After seven years of perfect service a little problem has started rearing its head. Basically, once the engine is started, it runs for 2-3 seconds and then dies. The only way to get around it is to manually (with the pedal) bring the RPMs up above Idle and hold the engine there for 30 seconds or so. Then it is fine. Another problem (I think that it might be related) once I get the engine idling I leave it until it warms up a little. Once the engine is warm the RPMs drop (supposed to do that) but then the engine RPMs fluctuate greatly (from a couple hundred to about 12000. Recently the fluctuations have become so great that the car is almost stalling. Thanks. -Ollie _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
