If you have a leak at the front of the car, eg in the air-vent box or the
window rubber, the water will run back under the carpets and collect under
the back seat. I had a cd-changer unit mounted there on my last car, and it
got fried when it rained; there was about 3/4" of water under there! I went
for the "drilling a 1/8" hole in the floor" option as well as changing the
front window rubber.
