As you use gas from the tank, there needs to be a path for air to get in the tank to replace the gas that has been used. If there is no vent, the air pressure forces on the outside of the tank can crush the tank. You NEED a vent somewhere..... On my tank i have what looks to be two vents. one on the passenger side that is about a inch in diameter, and then one on the drivers side that is about an 1/8th of an inch wide. that is the one that is clogged. is the one on the passenger side enough to take care of the tanks venting needs? what do you think? thanks much, jesse 71 squareback 87 golf gt 97 jetta trek ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
