Hi my name is Damian, I live in australia and have just finished retsoring a '63 squareback. Everything went fine except for the motor is running very rich. I am getting 18.9 miles per gallon. I have changes the jets in my carburettors but still no better.. My knowledge on motor is not that good. But if someone would care to explain the factors that would contribute to a motor running rich and how to eliminate those things it would be great.. P.S- The only thing that I didn't do to the car was rebuild the motor because apparently the guy I bought it off had just done it...He said that it had a lumpy cam put in it... Also it has a bosch 009 distributor it it with SOLEX 32-34 PDSIT carburttors (that is dual carburettors) I need the car to be as fuel economical as possible as petrol prices hear are not cheap anymore..
