I'm afraid that my '69 Squareback is available for US$6,000, too. I wasn't planning on selling it, but if somebody offers me six grand for it... You may also offer me $7,000, $8,000, or $10,000. There's also a finder's fee, payable to me as well. :) Simon, I'm not so sure that the "buy it now" price is necessarily the same as the reserve. If I understand it correctly, the reserve may be $2,900 or $3,750 for all we know. Meanwhile, anybody willing to pay the "buy it now" priced would instantly terminate the auction. However, if nobody "buys it now" and the reserve is not met, the car is not sold, even though there have been bids. I personally think of the "buy it now" price as "if somebody wants to offer me that much, well, I'd be tickled pink, and they can have it; I'd be happy to get this auction over with, as it's more than I was expecting to get anyway." -Greg ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
