I started working for VW back in May of 1965. They always released their new
models at the same time as the domestic manufacturers. Even domestic mfg's
start their next years production in July and August, and release them in late
Sept. early Oct. This gives them time to fill the "pipeline". Now days, no one
seems to follow "model years" they just call the '99 1/2. :=)
