someone, i think pat d, asked what the # on my engine case is. is it in the 
same location as the type1? while disassembling the engine i found that the 
back (rear of car) piece of the aluminum thing around the cooling fan was 
broken.  all of the bolts came out except for the very top one. (the one that 
looks like it goes into the oil filler)    
it is loose but wont come out. therefore i havent gotten to the case #. any 
help? i have plenty of these cooling assemblys at my fingertips so im not 
worried about it being broken. i just want it off the engine! thaks to all 
for the darksider replys. the car is a 61notch steel sunroof. should i "use 
the force" or should i take the path of least resistance to the "darkside" ?  
money IS a factor.
