Howdy folks...

I need some help.. I finally got my grubby mitts on a multimeter, but I
don't have a clue on how to use it...  I admit it!  I'm a nitwit.  I want to
check  my FI wires, but I just don't have a clue.. could anyone 'splain to
me the basics on this little monster?  It is from radio shack, has a knob
with DC V,         AC V,          Check,          K ^ ,       -)) CONT,  as
the settings.
