SV: [T3] Fuel Injection Limits
What do you mean by "high revs"? Remember that the aircooled VW's are not
very comfortable with revs much over 5000 rpm if you havent got it
counterweighted and balanced. (just my 2c...I'm not speaking of own
experience here - this is just what I concluded from reading about VW engine
rebuilding. Opinions might differ here...)
You can actually remove the epoxy seal on the pressure sensor end with a
little help from a heat gun, and then adjust the "feed" by turning the hex
screw inside.
See http://www.914fan.net/djet.html
or http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Shop/4123/
BUT your problem is more likely in the ignition, in the pressure circuit or
in the injectors.

...My question is this........ is it normal for the FI to have a mechanical
limit on how high it revs? It runs very quick up to a certain point... in
3rd
gear it limits at 50 miles an hour.... and thats it. It is like I have a
throttle limiter on it... ya I know... that would be the FI...lol. Also, at
times... it seems like it is starving out up around that range by surging at
this speed also.
Could the pressure sensor transducer?
