According to my 69 owner's manual, the squarebacks had a different cap that
would only let the spare deflate to 36 psi.  The Notch or fastback spare was
allowed to deflate to 26 psi.  I didn't know that some caps were red and
some were black and I guess I still don't know if there was a colour
difference in 1969.  I was counting on them being the same colour to make my
question tricky.  If they were, how would you tell the difference?

Answer:  Put a cap on one of the washer bottles.  Hold in the washer button
until the pressure ran out.  Switch caps and try the washer button again.
If you now have more pressure the first cap was for the square.  If you
don't the first was for the fasty.
