Dave, my parts book lists 6 colors for '61 - '63.

L 41      Black
L 465    Ruby Red
L 390    Gulf Blue
L 87      Pearl White
L 469    Anthracite           From Chassis No. 016732
L 511    Birch Green         From Chassis No. 058 490

Funny thing is, the paint code for Ruby Red changes in August 1963 starting 
with chassis number 221 975 to L 456 vice L 465.
It seems that Ruby Red keeps the code L 456 for the rest of production.  I 
have scanned the color pages from my parts book and
converted them to text if anyone is interested in seeing them.  I haven't 
done the pages for after 1969 but I will if anybody would like
them.

'65 Notchback on a '69 pan with Britax sliding rag.  Soon to have original 
door handles and trim.  Plans for a 1776cc motor with a Berg 5-speed, 4 
wheel disc brakes with Porsche 2 Liter alloys, Ruby Red paint and original 
interior.

'73 Pro Street Bug w/1915cc CB Perf. engine, Ultra Competition FI, Super 
Street tranny, Weld Racing Wheels with 195 50 15's in front and 265 50 15's 
in back with Type3 rear drums.
