I ran KYB high pressure shocks for a T3 and never had a problem with them.
Lowered or not.

3 front, 2 rear was my favorite set up for a custom car. 2 front(w/145's), 1
rear for a daily driver, 1 front on stockers to level the car out a bit. I
would then do small adjustments to suit each car.

My yellow 66 Fast was 7 notches in front and 5 in back while I showed it.
Porsche 2 liters and 195/50-15's. Wasn't very drivable, but you could cruise
the boulevard like that. Rear sat on the stock stop and the front stop was
shaved clean at the beam. Had to pry the suspension down with a floor jack
handle to get the front wheels off/on.
A few of you might remember it as
"KSN PVMT" (kissing pavement). Cover of Hot VW's  (think it was Nov. 92).
