[T3] Wiper Motor

Hello,
Answers to this question will help others I'm sure, since the rains are
starting here in California and everywhere else...
    [I've tried the archives and found some useful information (though a
little vague)]

For a '64 squareback converted to 12v, what year 12v wiper motor should I be
looking for that has the same mounting configuration and shaft size?
    I know that any early type 1 Ghia (up to '66) can use ONLY a '67 Ghia
wiper motor as a 12v replacement because of the size of the rotating shaft
that mount to the arm assembly. Is this the case with type 3s too? I'd hate
to dismantle the old bastard to find the '68 wiper motor I buy at the
junkyard doesn't fit.
