[T3] 61 Notchback? and a little early car info

I stand corrected, thanks Pat. I've seen some of that unusual early trim
in photos but I always assumed they were photos of a prototype. #54,
that's amazing, what a find. A year older than my 62 Ghia, and I thought
that was old. Makes me wonder about a few odd things I've seen in early
photos. Is the top half of your air cleaner held down with a rubber
strap, or is it a screw clamp? Do you have four fresh air control
levers, or just three like the rest of us?

Early 61's have the chrome strip that is below the dash continue on to
the
door panels(try finding one of those!). The front lower door panels have

different door pockets with a little ivory knob for pulling it open. The

knob sort of resembles the ashtray pull of a 65 or earlier car. They
also
have different pop-out windows. The seal is actually on the body instead
of
the window frame.
If I thought about it I'm sure I could rattle off about 15-20
differences
between an early 61 compared to a late 61 or 62 car.
