It's usually easier to reach across and just undo the passenger door (left
hand side, of course!).
How do you guys manage with the filler flap release on the right?  Much
easier for us RHD drivers!
On the pre-72 with wiper knob, it does seem a bit odd to reach across to the
far side (left!) to turn them on, whereas the air control is near the side
of the steering wheel on RHD.
