Okay, that makes sense.  For some reason I think I tried it at the generator
once and didn't see the results I expected.  I should be the same point
electrically, to my way of thinking, but I guess that's not accounting for
the voltage regulator in the path.  As for the RPM question, I just read
Jim's post again and caught the "medium RPM" sentence.  Probably check it
tomorrow.
