Re: [T3] 63 Notch Seat Belts

<x-rich>If you don't HAVE the holes, you should be fine on the inspection.

However, no holes WILL give you a problem when you want to put
seatbelts IN.

I found the non-retractable type (cheap) in JCWhitney's catalogue. (It
was a few years ago, so price is probably old.) However, I got the
retractable type for my Ghia elsewhere. Much nicer and retractable.
We did have to make mounting points in the body and tunnel, but that
was before the restoration, paint and interior was done. It will be a
little more to deal with to remove carpet to put the points in and not
trash the carpet.

I'm surprised that your's does NOT HAVE the bolts. I will have to go
look at mine again...

But if your wife will be driving it... why chance it? The belts only
cost about $40 for Lap or $60 for lap and shoulder and no
modifications.

Everything else works, right?

All else works very well on the Notch.

It never had belts, and no mount holes exist for one, so it should be
evident.

I will put belts in the Notch, but just want to get the inspection,
title, etc. all finished ASAP.

Where would I buy the belts you list above $40 - $60, and are they what
I want, or do I want something worth waiting to find that might be
better for my long term satisfaction?
