[T3] Reviving fuel pump

I have revived 3 pumps by applying power (out of car -just use a bettery or
battery charger)  and tap tap tapping gently.  They ALWAYS free up.  As long
as it hums.   Once, I had to spray some liquid wrench down there, but it
worked fine.

Now the one thing I can't seem to fix is that darn check valve thing-  if it
leaks or is busted, I count it as dead and scavenge the lower part.  Anyone
have a clue how to fix these?
