Hmmm. Heat exchangers, eh? This talk of boiling up in the car--like, driving around in 40 degree weather with all the windows wide open--hits a little too close to home for me. I wasn't really gonna worry about it with winter coming to Chicago and all, but now that we're at it... Here's the problem: Even with the heat lever down, the heat is always on. All the vents, footwells, etc. close up pretty well but the heat eventually sneaks thru. The cable to the lever is connected and tight. Without doing too much investigating, I just assumed something at the heat exchanger was "frozen" open. Is this likely? Or is it more likely that the heat exchanger is just shot? (And if that's the case, Keith, let's talk about those NOS ones you have!) By the way, we're talking a '70 Square, stock FI. Thanks.
