Do you mean use a light w/o a on/off switch built-in? Unlike the fasty (and notch?) none of the squarebacks I've seen have a external hinge/door ajar trigger. That means you need a light with a throw switch. The light in Phillip has a three way switch, on/off/ext. trigger. But no wiring or provision for a trigger.
