Well, geez, Keith, That's why I installed the opening ROOF! <grin> Thanks for the links, guys (esp. John J) No, seriously, that's why I was asking about scissor lifts. They usually only raise the car a few feet- enough to sit up under the car, if you're lucky (or short!) They don't have to be bolted to a strong pad, and don't have vertical poles. The big downside, I'm finding, is that most of them have the 'scissors' under the center of the car. I'm thinking about making something with a pair of scissors (and a pair of lift cylinders) that stay closer to the outside of the car, leaving room to scoot in- between 'em.
