OR drill two holes on opposite sides of the hook and arm and use some safety
wire to hold the cable in place while you attach the rear.  No bear needed.

I had to figure this one out on Jan 17th in 1 foot of snow outside.  A case
of beer couldn't coheres friends outside to help.  8*)
