Hi John (and all),
I'll be going this Sunday as well, but I'm not exactly sure how to get
there once I'm in Manassas...any chance you'd want to ride there together?
I'd stick my fasty in the show area as well if I knew what time I'd have to
be there, and what time I'd be able to leave. It'd definitely not a show
car, but it looks damn good for a $300 car (and it's SOLID). Anyway, let
me know...I don't have access to this email account after I leave work on
Friday's though so it'd be cool if we could work out the particulars before
then.
Hope to see you there!

Subject: [T3] Manassas soon
Hi all who are interested,
This memorial Day weekend , on sunday the 30th, is the Manassas Bug-out.
I hope to see as many listess there as who can make it. I plan on being
there with my trusty Fastback. Can't miss me (well not too much) mine
will be the Beige 71 Fastback w/California license plates. I love to park
it in the show area even though there are always nicer ones, but I love
the fact that my 71 has the original issued license plates (it has never
had a different license plate number or state) AND the original license
plate frames that were put on the car when it was purchased from Wes
Lasher VW in California.
I love to see all the VW's of all typeГ™ the ony one who LIKED the
VW Sporttruck?) some of my favs are the dune buggies.
On a diff not, has anyone seen the gray market Beetles from Mexico? 12
grand seems an attractive price to pay for a new (I realize they
are technically restored) VW
Bug, Ive seen one from the S. Carolina dealer and they look yummy. Sure
would make a nice companion for my Fastback.
Anyway, happy T-3ing.
