050 is another mechanical advance distributor, usually timed @ TDC.  Its cap is tall, and should have ri°52že adapters to fit under a type 3 engine cover.  Its cap also has large 'ears' for the hold down springs, so it is quite a fiddle to get it in place on a type 3.  Parts for 050 are getting hard to find.  Another mechanical distributor that is popular with drag racers is the 010.  Unlike the aluminum housings on the 009 and 050, 010 has a steel housing.
