There are 2 different patterns of timing notches in FI cars: 68-71 look like this: | ||| In this case TDC is the left hand mark. 72-3 look like this: | | || In this case TDC is the mark 2nd from left. All years except 72 just time to TDC at idle. The 72 models require a special procedure that I went over just a couple of days ago.
