On May 18 I wrote: >As I turned the key I could hear the fuel pump come on, but for the first >time I heard something in the engine compartment make a horrible buzz >similar to the fuel pump. The only thing I did to it was replace the fuel hose going from it to injector #1. The car will start but will not stay going if I take my foot off the accelorator. I did use all the right seal for the manifolds and I'm dang near positive that I set the timing right....lined up the far left mark on the pulley( / /// )with crankshaft pointer and lined up the notch on the rotor to the one on the edge of the distibutor body then reinstalled the distributor. Used a timing light to make sure everything was on the up and up and it seemed to be. The notch was lined up with crankcase but everyonce in a while danced a little from side to side. This is not good is it?!? Well I'm about to swallow my pride, what little there was, and take it to the mechanics. Thought I would update you on my little saga. Thanks for all the helpful tips!!! :( Chad '70 FI squareback (current project) '70 bus (restored to its original beauty) _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
