The only more or less stock option I know of that fits is the Porsche '2-liter' wheels from the 914. There are lots of options for T1s, but T3s have a different offset, so using Bug wheels is a compromise. Good- lookin' wheels is a problem for us 4-lug types. => can I never get home in a straight line? Assuming your tires are up to pressure spec, you probably need some alignment work, maybe ball joints, mcj" teering box adjustment, maybe steering linkage work. These cars work well when adjusted properly. => What on earth is a swamp cooler? That's the vernacular around here for evaporative cooler. Air is forced through a mesh wick that draws water from a tank, humidifying the air. Car units are usually powered by air pressure from forward movement, and hang on the passenger window. So if you see a car mounted with what appears to be a small torpedo or an old vacuum cleaner, you've seen a swamp cooler. The technology is marginally effective under very dry conditions and utterly ineffective in humid climes.
