Me again with more questions Ok, i have determined that the vacuum diaphram thing gets in the way on my engine so i couldn't get the timing near what the factory specs were, the farthest towards 5 BTDC i could get was around 5 ATDC to 0 BTDC until the canister would hit on the sheet metal or generator (sorry i don't recal which right now, but it's all the same prob), so i turned the dist drive shaft one tooth clockwise of the 60 degree setting that it should be at, hoping that in doing so would gain me the extra few degrees i needed to get the timing right, well, it didn't. In fact, now it's almost too far the other way, i have my car set at about 7 BTDC now because that's as far as i can turn the dist before it hits on the other side now, the throttle stop assembly. If only that stupid vacuum canister wasn't there, it wouldn't be such a problem. This brings me to my question, are there any aftermarket totally centrifugal advance distributors, hopefully Bosch, like the 009, that will incorporate the fuel injection trigger points? If not, what should i do, look for another year Type 3 FI dist that will fit, i don't know what is original on this car because the PO didn't know either, so, what to do?
