11mm heads (M7 thread normally) - I remember now ... they are on the front backing plate on disc brakes. The only other one I recall from my '59 Beetle is the locking nut on the clutch cable adjustment, a particularly awkward one! The Type 3 parts book shows this too; apparently early Type 3s had the same adjusting/locknut arrangement (pre chassis 315 158 561). Presumably my 1500S had it way back then, but I don't remember specifically. That means the wing-nut for the clutch cable must also be M7 thread, but no need for an 11mm wrench there. The list of nuts and bolts at the back of the parts book gives two bolts and one nut, so there's one application still out there! It's an N 10 277 1 hex-head bolt, M7 x 22 if that's a help, but I i˜ùí through all the parts book looking for that. When we have the parts book online, we'll all be able to find these odd answers! I've not forgotten, Al; just awaiting suitable software shortly, I hope. Dave (must go outside now and take the Squareback engine out to see what the clutch slip problem is).
