I have had an idea to have a friend of mine build some performance stainless steel exhaust headers and J - tubes for type 3's. I have an extra set of steel headers to use as a template for a jig. This coupled with a single stainless muffler ( this is the part that I haven't been able to source). At this point it's just a plan. Is there a stainless system for a type one available? I believe I saw a system on the internet on a bug, with some "tucked" mufflers from a german company. Anyone seen this? I'd love to have a stainless system on my type 3's, as you know it's a little damp here in the Northwest.
