RE: [T3] First Question(s)!!Rusty Heater Channels!!

hey there. i am really interested in what kinds of response you get, because
i am in the same boat. I m considering buying a type three, and my dad said
to watch out for rust on bargain-priced vehicles' undercarriage. He said
that even if one were given to me, a car with any rust on the floorpan or on
the heat pipes( which he calls "cancer"!) is so insidious that it isn't evenû&rying to fix it, it will just be impossible to stop! What do you
think/know about this? He has had a lot of VW's, but i am stubborn and want
to believe it isn't *that impossible to fix. :)
The one i am considering is 400 dollars. I don't know much else about it,
but if i find rust in those areas and not much else wrong with it, is it
still a bargain?
